artist's statement

I received a bachelor’s degree in fine art but also studied graphic design. I worked for many years in advertising, and later, marketing communications, working my way up from designer to VP/Creative Director. I worked in the USA, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.

A few years ago, I left the corporate communications world and became a full-time painter. ​My paintings are mostly expressive abstractions, with intense color and texture modulations that synthesize into fresh visuals and emotive energies. But, I am always exploring new styles and techniques.

When I am not painting, I like to read books on spirituality and quantum physics. I find it amazing that science has begun to support—and add detail to—many of our ancient beliefs. This amazement seeps into the work I am currently doing, as I often think of how the quantum realm informs our physical world and our perceptions.
